Anna "Ann" Weech

Anna “Ann” I. Weech, 95, of Galesburg, died at 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville, IL. Ann was born July 11, 1926, in Roseville, the daughter of Phillip L. and Helen E. (McMillan) Callister.  Ann married Willis Edmund Weech on December 27, 1945 in Roseville, IL.  After almost 74 years of marriage, Willis preceded Ann in death on March 23, 2019.  Ann is survived by one son, Larry (Paula) Weech of Tucson, AZ; one daughter, Connie DeBaugh of Richmond, VA; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.  Along with her husband and parents, Ann was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Ann worked as a bookkeeper at many businesses in the Galesburg area, most notably working at the Galesburg Clinic and last worked as the bookkeeper for KCCDD prior to retiring.  Ann was a faithful and devoted member of the First Methodist Church in Galesburg and was very active at the church for many years.  She was a longtime member of the of the Galesburg Women’s Club and a 55 year plus member of the Galesburg Sewing Club.  Ann loved her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.  She also loved reading, sewing, church activities, community services, baking, and cooking.  Ann was a friend to all. Visitation will be 12 to 1 p.m. Monday, November 8, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church, Galesburg.  Funeral Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the church.  Pastor Vince Rohn will officiate.  Burial will follow services at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  Memorials may be made in Ann’s memory to the First United Methodist Church, Galesburg.
