Anastasia Boos, 87, of Galesburg, died at 12:40 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2018 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg. Anastasia was born July 24, 1931 in Galesburg, the daughter of Pete Evan and Ana Nikola (Cibar) Glasnovic. She is survived by two sons, Stephen (Michelle) Boos of Galesburg and Paul Boos of Arkansas; and one daughter, Anne Marie (Tim) Dixon of Galesburg. Anastasia is also survived by three grandsons, Josh Dixon, Nicholas and Ryan Boos; and two great grandchildren, Sofia and Max Dixon. Along with her parents, Anastasia was preceded in death by one brother, John Glasnovic and one sister, Mary Glasnovic. Anastasia worked at Butler Mfg. for 10 years prior to becoming a homemaker and raising her children. Being a mother and grandmother was her life. She worked in the lunchroom at Costa for several years. Anastasia was a devout catholic and enjoyed attending her church, Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. She was a selfless lady and enjoyed cooking and baking. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, October 8, 2018 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, with the funeral mass following at 11 a.m. Father William T. Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Galesburg. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or the American Heart Association.
