Anastasia Riesebieter, 79, of 2360 Monmouth Blvd., Galesburg, died at 7:26 a.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at Marigold Health Care Center.   Anastasia was born on April 18, 1930 in Galesburg, the daughter of Nicholas L. and Pauline T. Polich Rodich. She married Robert Riesebieter on May 5, 1950 in Galesburg. He died on October 25, 1983. Surviving Anastasia are 3 brothers, Michael D., Frank, and Anthony Rodich all of Galesburg; one sister, Ruby Pittman of Jefferson, Iowa. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and Joe Rodich; and a sister, Mary Umphenour.   Anastasia attended St. Joseph’s Academy and Galesburg High School. Anastasia worked as a practical nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital in Galesburg. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society and the Lady of the Legion of St. Patrick’s. She was a member of the Lay Carmelite Order of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Third Order of Carmelites), a member of De Colores Curcillo #396 of Villa De Chantel in Rock Island and the Order of Watch. She had been a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.   Anastasia’s generosity in giving both her time and money to various churches and organizations was well known by all who remember her.  Funeral Mass will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. William Miller officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Thursday at Watson Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick’s Church.
