Angela K. Hunt-Nieft

Angela Kay Hunt-Nieft, 45, of Galesburg, died at 4:57 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at home. Angie was born December 15, 1972 in Chicago Heights, the daughter of Thomas Howard and Merita Kay (Kent) Hunt, Jr. She married Edward W. Nieft. They later divorced. Angie is survived by her mother, Merita Kent of Syracuse, IN; two sons, Angelo Nieft and Zacharia Clow both of Galesburg and one daughter, Salome Kay Nieft of Galesburg. She is also survived by two sisters, Meriva (Leon) Krueger of Malta and Merita Hunt of Galesburg; three brothers, Thomas H. Hunt, Jr. of Syracuse, IN, Adam Blade of Gary, IN, and Zane Blade of Melvin; as well as one nephew. Angie was preceded in death by her father. Angie spent her younger years as a stay at home mom raising her three children. She later went to work as a cook for Seminary Estates. She truly enjoyed cooking not only at work but also at home. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg with funeral services following at 1 p.m. Private burial will be in the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton, IL. Memorials may be made to the family.
