Angelo D. Perez

Angelo D. Perez, 75, Galesburg, died on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital. Angelo was born October 2, 1941 in Galesburg, to Sostenes and Rufina (Delgado) Perez.Angelo worked for Burlington Northern and Butler Manufacturing.  He was very active and a hard worker.  He enjoyed cooking, baseball, golf, bowling, and fishing.  He enjoyed going to the horse races.  But mostly, Angelo loved to write poetry.  He served in the US Army. Surviving Angelo are brothers, John (Norma) Perez, Oklahoma, Frank Perez and Jesse (Jovita) Perez, both of Galesburg, and Richard Perez, Springfield; sister, Helen Rasso, East Moline; numerous nieces and nephews; and a devoted friend, Hector Interial, Kewanee, IL.He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Natalie, Marie and Anita, and brothers, Mateo and Lupe. Graveside services will be Thursday, June 1st at 10:30 a.m.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home, Galesburg.
