Anita M. Anderson

Anita Maxine Anderson, 50, of Galesburg, passed away with her family at her side on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, 4:05 AM, at Heartland Healthcare Nursing and Rehab, Galesburg.  Anita was born on February 21, 1968, in Galesburg. She was the daughter of Frank H. and Ora M. (Smith) Centeno. She married Robert Alan Anderson on February 4, 1989. He preceded her in death on April 14, 2007. Anita is survived by her two loving daughters, Megan (Daniel) Hite and Kayla (Robert Knowles) Anderson, both of Galesburg; her mother, Ora Centeno of Galesburg; and her significant other of 3 years, Casey Martin. She was preceded in death by her husband, father and a brother, Scott Centeno.  Anita was a receptionist at Rosewood Care Center. She loved to listen to music, read, go fishing and play board games. Most importantly she loved to spend time with her girls.  Visitation for Anita will be from 1 PM – 3 PM on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory. A private family burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with the arrangements.
