Ann Sharon Christensen

Ann Sharon Christensen, 75, a resident of St. Francis Wood, Peoria, died at 9:29 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Sharon was born August 21, 1942 in Rock Island, the daughter of Paul Benedict and Ellen Ione (Penterman) Christensen. Sharon is survived by her twin sister, Mary Karen Christensen of Peoria. She was preceded in death by her parents.Sharon worked over 30 years at Community Workshop and Training Center in Peoria. She was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church and was close to her church family. Sharon was a world traveler, taking many trips with her church including Rome, Jerusalem, and Greece. Sharon also loved animals and collecting different stuffed animals. Her hobbies included dancing and singing. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018 at St. Francis Wood, 3507 N. Molleck Dr., Peoria, IL 61604. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2018 at St. Joseph Cemetery, Galesburg. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.   Memorial donations may be directed to Community Workshop and Training Center, 3215 N.
