Ardyth Helen Mckenzie

Ardith Helen McKenzie, 70, of Galesburg, died Monday, November 21, 2016, 2:51 AM, at Seminary Manor, Galesburg.  Ardith was born on October 18, 1946, in Galesburg, Illinois. She was the daughter of Arthur George, and Audrey Lyle (Austin) Arie. She married Arlo Halsey in 1962, and then later married Kenneth J. McKenzie. Kenneth preceded her in death on March 22, 1999.  Ardith is survived by two sons, Kevin Halsey of Normal, and Eric W.S. Halsey of Galesburg; a daughter Suzzane K. Thurman of Maquon; a brother Arthur J. Arie of Texas; and 9 grandchildren 3 of whom are Lea Halsey, Elizabeth Halsey, and Eric Halsey, Jr. Aside Kenneth; she was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Audrey Barkley.Ardith enjoyed fishing and reading books. She loved to spend time with her family and friends.  Per Ardith's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. No services will be planned at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorials in Ardith's honor may be donated to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory.
