Barbara J Bullat

Barbara W. Bullat, of Galesburg, formerly of Chicago, died at 1:50 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Seminary Manor, Galesburg.   Barbara was born on April 24, 1929 in St. Augustine, the daughter of Matthew P. and Lillian Tanney Wynne.  She married L.P. Bullat in Chicago in 1973.  He preceded her in death in 2000.  Surviving is 2 brothers, Hank of Rantoul and Patrick of Columbus, OH; 3 sisters, Sister Anne Marita Wynne of St. Mary of the Wood, IN, Dorothy Wynne of Peoria, and Virginia Buchanan of Merrillville, IN; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by 2 step daughters and 3 brothers.    Barbara graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Nauvoo.  She joined the Benedictine Nuns and was with them for 15 years.  She then worked at Loyola Dental School for several years.  She was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Chicago.    Memorial Mass will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Corpus Christi Church with Rev. Joseph Presley, officiating.  Burial of ashes will be at a later date in St. Augustine Cemetery, St. Augustine.  Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Watson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
