Barbara L. Wells

Barbara Lou Wells, 91, of Monmouth, died at 8:24 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at home. Barb was born on April 7, 1927 at home in Coldbrook Twp., the daughter of Roy and Jessie (Kingan) Wells. Barb is survived by several nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers; three sisters; and Marty Barker who was like a son. Barb worked as a hostess at Morning Glory Restaurant in Rockford for over 40 years. She loved to play bingo and watch game shows on television. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.
