Belinda G. “Jingles” Clark, 68, of Galesburg, Illinois, died Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.

Belinda was born July 2, 1955, in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Hobert L. and Charlotte Jo-Ann (Danner) Carter. Belinda married Lyle E. Swank. They later divorced. She married Charles “Ed” Clark on August 13, 2019, in Galesburg. He survives. Belinda is also survived by four sons, Roger (Tammy Huber) Swank, Mike (Patty Woodward) Swank, Roy Swank, and Jeff Swank all of Abingdon, Illinois; two brothers, Robert (Debra) Carter of Prairie City, Illinois and Zan (Connie) Carter of Knoxville, Illinois; and two sisters, Kathy Carter of Galesburg and Dixie (Charlie) Jones of Abingdon. Belinda is also survived by two stepsons, Seth (Natalie) Clark of Galesburg and Jon (Brandy) Clark of Cameron, Illinois; two stepdaughters, Marla (Robert) Anderson, Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas and Kaila (Tim) Hayes of Palmer, Alaska; eleven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 17 step grandchildren; and 7 step great grandchildren.

A longtime waitress, Belinda worked at Family Table, later Oogie’s in Galesburg. She also worked at Don’s Family Restaurant as well as Abingdon Bowling Alley, the Junction, and lastly at PZ’s Place & Steakhouse in Galesburg.

Belinda had a Servant's heart and found true joy in taking care of others. Her laugh was incredibly contagious and her smile was magic. She believed in family and second chances and never missed a beat when it came to loving her people.

Belinda believed in living in the moment and finding happiness in the everyday joys: her husband's smile, hugs from her children, and watching her grandchildren play at the farm. She was your biggest supporter, the loudest cheerleader and always a bright smile in the crowd. Belinda showed up for the people she loved and noticed all the little things about you that made you special. She overlooked your shortcomings and praised your strengths.

She loved to cook and bake and take care of everyone in her life. Belinda loved traditions and had all the best decorations for the holidays. She personified strength, sunshine and selfless love. We'll never forget all the ways she showed up for us and no one will forget the way she made them feel.

We'll desperately miss her beautiful light, but we'll never forget the pride in her eyes when she looked at us. We take solace knowing she is at peace, walking with her Lord and Savior.

Cremation has been accorded. A celebration of life for Belinda will be 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2024 at PZ’s Place & Steakhouse, 2330 Grand Ave., Galesburg, Illinois 61401.
