Beverly Jane Teel

Beverly Jane Teel, 81, of Galesburg, died at 10 p.m. Monday, September 4, 2017 in Rosewood Care Center, Galesburg.  Beverly was born October 10, 1935 in Monmouth the daughter of Clinton Grant and Leona Mae Vaughn Archibald.  She married Raymond “Red” H. Teel, Sr. on July 3, 1964 in Galesburg.  Beverly is survived by her husband, Red of Galesburg; two sons, Dale R. Knowles of Picayune, MS and Raymond H. Teel, II of Galesburg; a daughter, Cynthia (Kenneth) Poland of Picayune, MS and an adopted daughter, Vicky Kemp of Galesburg; and a brother, Donald Archibald of Galesburg.  Beverly is also survived by six grandchildren, Michelle, Joshua, Caery, Jack, Jon, and Sandy; and seven great grandchildren, Zackery, Noah, Marisa, Corynne, Michelle, James, and Brandi.  Along with her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by one brother, Grant Archibald, Jr. Beverly was a talented seamstress and worked for several years at Form Fit in Monmouth and Protexal in Galesburg.  She also worked for many years from her home.  Beverly was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.  She loved sewing, crocheting, knitting and drawing and playing games.  She also loved to read, travel, and go camping.  Cremation rites will be accorded and no services are planned.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  Memorials may be made in Beverly’s memory to the Resident Fund at Rosewood Care Center, Galesburg.
