Beverly L. Newcomb

Beverly Lynn Newcomb, 62, of Galesburg, died at 8:18 am Friday, December 11, 2020 at home. Beverly married Jeffrey Wayne Newcomb on November 2, 1990 in Winnington, IL.  Jeff survives.  Beverly is also survived by one son, Travis Hays of Benton; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Timothy) Longcor of Galesburg; five grandchildren, DeAnna Hays, Mary Hays, Tristan, Elijah, and Luca Longcor; and one brother, Jamie Hays of Benton.  Along with her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by one son, Dakota Newcomb.  Beverly attended Harmony Baptist Church.  She loved to sew and watch television, especially British and Australian shows.  Beverly also enjoyed reading romance novels.  She loved being with her family and watching her grandchildren. Cremation has been accorded.  A memorial visitation will be 10 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Harmony Baptist Church with a memorial service following at 10:30 a.m.  Pastor Chris Nissley will officiate.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  Memorials may be made to the family in c/o Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.
