Carolina G. Pacheco

Carolina “Carolyn” G. Lopez-Pacheco, 91, of Galesburg, died at 10:46 a.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital. Carolyn was born December 9, 1920 in Ashland, OR, the daughter of Felix D. and Maria F. (Garcia) Lopez. She married Louis “Shorty” Pacheco on July 7, 1962 in Galesburg at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Louis “Shorty” of Galesburg; a brother, Cipriano “Chino” Lopez of Galesburg; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, two sisters, Juanita Reveles, Carmen Garcia and two brothers Phillip Lopez and Joseph “Pepe” Lopez. Carolyn was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She loved to dance with Shorty, loved to cook for her family, and truly loved animals especially her dogs. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Rev. William Miller, I.C. will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home, with the rosary being prayed at 5 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
