Carolyn Kay Carrick

Carolyn Kay Carrick, 75, of Galesburg, died at 3:29 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at home. Carolyn was born September 7, 1942 in Galesburg, the daughter of Kenneth and Marcile F. (Healey) Carrick. Carolyn is survived by one son, Mark Probst of Galesburg; one sister, Marilyn (Raymond) Ellison of Galesburg; two brothers, Ron Roberts of Galesburg and Randy (Theresa) Roberts of Mooresville, NC and one granddaughter, McKenzie Probst. She was preceded in death by her parents. Carolyn was in the first graduating class at the new Galesburg High School. She then graduated from Knox College with a degree in Medi-physics. She worked in Galesburg for many years, working at the Galesburg Research Hospital, Burlington Northern Railroad, and lastly as a Christian Science Practitioner. Carolyn enjoyed reading her Bible and attending Bible Study groups. Most of all, Carolyn loved her son and granddaughter. Carolyn spent several years living on Mark’s boat in Redwood City, CA. Cremation rites will be accorded and no services are planned. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.   Memorials may be sent to the family in care of Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory.
