Charles E. Posey, Iii

Charles E. Posey, III, 48, of North Henderson, died at 2:01 p.m. Monday, December 3, 2018 in the ER at Galesburg Cottage Hospital. Charles was born on November 3, 1970 in Colorado Springs, CO.  He married Helena Dawn DeKeyrel on March 23, 1997.  They were remarried on January 5, 2018.  Helena survives of North Henderson.  Charles is also survived by his mother, Margaret E. Hagler of Henderson; one son, Charles E. Posey, IV of North Henderson; three daughters, Aiesha N. DeKeyrel of Rock Island, Aubrey Davey of Madison, WI, and Unique Posey of Moline; and two grandsons, Kayshawn Posey and Dre-Vieon Smith.  He is also survived by three brothers, Dayrl (Miranda) Hagler of Galesburg, Logan and Drake Hagler of Henderson; and three sisters, Gaynell (Sam) Wheeler of Macomb, Latrice (Robert Peterson) Davis of Galesburg, and Tanasha Hagler of Davenport, IA.  Charles was preceded in death by his father, Earl L. Hagler and one sister, Kimberly Hagler. Charles had been working at One Stop Smoke Shop in Galesburg.  He enjoyed playing the Bass guitar and cards, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Cremation rites will be accorded.  A visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2018 at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  No funeral services are planned.  A celebration of life will follow the visitation at the Henderson Town Hall in Henderson, IL.  Memorials may be made to the family in c/o Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, 1849 N.
