GALESBURG --- Charlie T. Stegall passed away at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, June 30 at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg. He was born January 17, 1943 in Galesburg. He is survived by his beloved wife Jeanne of 48 years, his son, John (Deanna) Stegall and his daughter, Dawn (Keith) Clague. Chuck was a great man known by many; friends with some and loved by a few. He was a jack of all trades and a master of most. He was a United States Army Veteran, having served with the 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. He worked for Murphy Brothers and K&M Equipment of East Moline. Chuck was also Past President of the United Mine Workers Local 12, and was a troop leader for Boy Scout Troop 226 and a member of the Order of the Arrow. His last words to all: “Tootles.” The family would like to invite any and all who knew Chuck to join us for a casual gathering in remembering the man we loved on Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Dawn and Keith’s home, 223 S. State St, East Galesburg, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be given to the family at www.watsonfh.net.
