Craig E. Stewart

Craig Eugene Stewart, 32, of Galesburg, died at 11:19 p.m. on Sunday September 25, 2011 in Lake Andes, SD.  Craig was born December 10, 1978 in Peoria, the son of Greg and Laura (Stevens) Stewart.  He is survived by his father, Greg of Galesburg; a son, Craig Stewart; and a daughter, Isabella Stewart, both of Galesburg.  Also surviving is his sister, Carie Stewart; a brother, Greg Stewart; and a brother-in-law, Sean Davis, all of Galesburg.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura on July 2, 2004,  grandparents, and a nephew, Anthony Stewart. Craig was employed as a commercial painter for Hartman Walsh.  He belonged to the painter’s union, District Council 8, Local 424.  Craig was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan.  He was truly a family man and enjoyed spending all his time with his children and his entire family. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Watson Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Lutheran Cemetery, Peoria.  Visitation will be held Tuesday at Watson Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.  Memorials may be directed to the family for the benefit of Craig’s children.
