Daniel W. Holland

Daniel William Holland, 65, of Schaumburg, Illinois passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022.

Born August 12, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois to Joan and John Holland, MD; Daniel was a 1975 Galesburg High School graduate and spent much of his life in Schaumburg working in the field of finance.

An avid sports fan, he was a lifelong supporter of the White Sox and never gave up on the Bears. Daniel had a brilliant mind and a quick wit that endeared him to everyone he met. He will always be remembered for his ability to make those around him laugh, his mischievous smile and kind heart.

Daniel is survived by his siblings John (Teri) Holland, Michael (Melissa) Holland, Edward (Lynette) Holland, David (Tamra) Holland, Mary (Mark) Bennett, Moira Holland, and Patrick (Marnie) Holland. He is also survived by his 18 nieces and nephews who he loved with all his heart and his beloved dog Missy.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Maureen Therese.

A celebration of his life will be on Saturday, April 1, 2023. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 273 S. Prairie St., Galesburg, IL 61401, followed by Mass at 10 a.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
