Darlene B. Gibbs, 85, of Galesburg, died at 1:15 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Heartland Health Care, Galesburg. Darlene was born November 17, 1928 in Galesburg, the daughter of Elzie and Lucille (Powell) Gibbs. She is survived by one son, Jay Hinkson of Normal; and two friends Judi Klaas and Sandy Benson. She graduated from St. Joseph's Academy and Galesburg High School She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Cremation rites will be accorded and no services are planned.
