David Neil Bodenhamer

David Neil Bodenhamer, 53, of Galesburg, died at 6:15 a.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018 at home. David was born May 9, 1964 in Avon, the son of John C. and Patricia Ann (Powell) Bodenhamer. David is survived by his father, John Bodenhamer of Galesburg; his mother Patricia Bodenhamer of Galesburg; one son, Scott (Devin) Bodenhamer of Galesburg; his soul mate, Christy Earls of Galesburg; and two granddaughters, Natalie and Audrey Bodenhamer. David is also survived by three sisters, Rosanna (Rob) Black, Tammy (Scott) Lynch, and Patty Jo Bailey all of Galesburg. David worked for Royal American Shows for 10 years traveling the United States. He then worked for Waste Management for 11 years, and last worked for Superior Asphalt for 5 years. David loved spending time with his family, especially his two granddaughters and sharing his love for donuts with them. He enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. David was very handy and had a knack for fixing things around the house and was an excellent woodworker. He had a great sense of humor and loved making jokes. Cremation rites will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held on February 3, 2018 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Harley’s Pub Banquet Hall, 2243 Grand Ave. Galesburg. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to the family.
