Dixie Lee Lynch, 71, of Galesburg, died at 12:26 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2017 in Seminary Manor, Galesburg. Dixie was born May 2, 1946 in Galesburg, the daughter of William Joe and Doris Evelyn Meadows Bush.  She married Richard Lee Lynch in 1992.  He preceded her in death in 2008.  Dixie is survived by one son, William Bradley Stevens of Galesburg; five sisters, Evelyn Morris of Knoxville, Wanda McMillan of Galesburg, Agnes Roberts of Knoxville, LuAnn Mathews of Pocahontas, AR, and Carol Holley; and five grandchildren.  Along with her parents and husband, Dixie was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Asher; a brother, Charles W. Bush, Sr., three brothers-in-law, one niece, and two nephews.  Dixie worked as a CNA for many years.  She was an avid pool player as well as an expert archery shooter.  Dixie enjoyed crocheting and was a wonderful artist, and love to do portraits of people. She enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley and will always be remembered as a generous, loving, and caring person. Cremation rites have been accorded.  A burial of cremated remains will be on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 2:30 PM in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg.  A celebration of life will follow at 3:30 p.m., at the Thomas Legacy Center at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.
