Donald E. Waldorf

Donald E. “Donnie” Waldorf, 52, of Monmouth, Illinois, died Saturday, August 24, 2024 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.

Donnie was born April 27, 1972 in Peoria, Illinois, the son of Mary Anne (Stratton) and George Lewis Waldorf. Donnie is survived by his son, Bryce Waldorf of Danville, Illinois; three brothers, Mark Waldorf of Galesburg, Clarence (Gladys George) Lamb of East Galesburg, Randy (Heidi Carle) Lamb of Keithsburg, Illinois; four sisters, Linda Waldorf of Galesburg, Kathy Utsinger of Monmouth, Terri Barnes of Monmouth, and Lisa (Mike) Miller of Galesburg; his stepfather, Clarence (Lacy) Lamb of East Galesburg; and many nieces nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Donnie was preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter, Brianna.

Donnie worked numerous odd jobs including delivering for Alfano’s Pizza. He loved to mow yards and spent many years operating his own lawn mowing business. Donnie had an uplifting spirit and will be remembered for his loving and caring demeanor. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved Dale Earnhardt.

Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of life will be September 7, 2024 at Pour House, 497 E. Berrien St., Galesburg, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Watson Thomas Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.
