Donna Jean O'Laughlin

Donna Jean O’Laughlin, 77, of Galesburg, died at 9:10 a.m., Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital. Donna was born July 31, 1934 in Fort Madison, Iowa, the daughter of George and Dorothy Hutchinson Moore.  She married Dennis O’Laughlin on September 10, 1960 in Fort Madison, Iowa.  He survives.  She is also survived by two daughters, Tara (and John) McKinley of Pekin, and Kelly (and Jim) Price of Lynn Center; a former son-in-law, Gilberto Cruz of East Peoria; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents. Donna was a graduate of Fort Madison High School and the Burlington School of Nursing.  She had also attended Culver-Stockton College for two years.  Donna was a registered nurse at Research Hospital  and also at Marigold Health Care Center retiring in 1996. Per her wishes cremation rites will be accorded and her family will celebrate her life in a private memorial.  Memorials may be made to the Knox County Humane Society.  Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Funeral Home, Galesburg.
