Donna M. Niehoff

Donna M. Niehoff, 49, of Galesburg, IL, formerly of New Ulm, passed away at 2:55 a.m. Tuesday, March 05, 2013 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center with her loving family at her side. She was born September 14, 1963 in St. James, MN to Walter and Marilyn Lingbeek Wendland, and married Mark Niehoff on January 23, 1987 in New Ulm. He survives.  Also surviving her are her children, Kristin (Corie) Weisenberger, Charlotte Niehoff, and Taylor Niehoff; her father, Walter Wendland; step-mother Janet Wendland; half-brother Tim Wendland; half-sister Kate Wendland; and her first grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her mother, and grandparents Claus and Ina Lingbeek. Donna worked as a Veterinary Technician, and most recently as an LPN at St. Mary’s Square in Galesburg, IL. She also was a volunteer for the Knox County Humane Society and will be remembered for her contributions to the Knox County Relay for Life. Cremations rites have been accorded. Watson-Thomas Funeral Home in Galesburg is handling arrangements for the family. A visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, March 8 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home, a Memorial Service will follow at 3 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Niehoff family.
