Donnatina K. "Kathie" Currey

Donnatina Kathleen “Kathie” Currey, 73, of Galesburg, died at 2:06 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2024 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center.

She was born December 4, 1950 in Princeton, West Virginia, the daughter of Billy Gene Crawford and Patricia Kathrin Peters. Kathie was later raised by Patricia and adopted father, Floyd Wesley Williams. She married Richard Nelson Currey on April 18, 1998 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 26 years, Rich Currey of Galesburg; one son, David Brown of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Teresa Steg of Phoenix; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Dan Williams and one sister, Susan Armstrong, both of Kingman, Arizona; several cousins; and her beloved dog, Checkers. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother-in-law, Larry Armstrong.

In her free time, she enjoyed doing arts and crafts. Kathie will be greatly missed.

Cremation will be accorded. There are no services planned. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory in Galesburg.
