Dorothy A. Olson

Dorothy A. Olson, 93, formerly of 444 N. Broad St, Galesburg, died at11:25 p.m., Saturday April 28, 2007 at Heartland Health Care. Dorothy was born on December 14, 1913 in Pinhook, IN the daughter of Gust and Emma Anderson. She married Leonard Olson on September 7, 1941 in LaPorte, IN. He died in October of 1996. Surviving Dorothy are one son, Richard (Linda) Olson of Ada, MN; 2 daughters, Irene E. Beck and Roxie Axcell both of Galesburg; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren. Preceding Dorothy in death were one son Roger A. Olson and one sister. Dorothy graduated from LaPorte High School in 1931. She was a homemaker. Dorothy was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Wataga and its WELCA organization. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at Watson Funeral Home, with the Reverend Thomas Ek officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wataga Cemetery, Wataga. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
