Dorothy Anne Wynne

Dorothy Anne Wynne, 95, of Newburgh, IN, formerly of St. Augustine and Peoria died at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson, KY on Friday, August 9, 2013. Dorothy was born July 26, 1918 in St. Augustine, the daughter of Matthew and Lillian (Tanney) Wynne. Dorothy is survived by brothers Francis C. Wynne of Rantoul, IL, Patrick Leo Wynne and his wife Helen of Columbus, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Stanley and his wife Isabel of Galesburg, IL, Robert Wynne of Galesburg, IL, Sr. Anne Marita Wynne of St. Mary's of the Woods  IN, sister in law Mary K. Wynne of Rantoul, IL, Virginia Buchanan and her husband Howard of Merrillville, IN,  Barbara Bullat and her husband Lou of Chicago, IL. Dorothy received her RN in nursing from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Peoria, IL.  Dorothy served in the US Navy during WWII as a Registered Nurse.  She worked as a nurse in the Peoria area for many years.  A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, St. Augustine.   Rev. Tom Holloway will officiate.  Burial will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery.  Watson-Thomas Funeral Home, Galesburg is handling arrangements.
