Dorothy G. Kisler, 82, of Galesburg, died at 4:51 p.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at Methodist Medical Center, Peoria. Dorothy was born on January 22, 1926 in Mercer County near Norwood, the daughter of John T. and Berniece Lafferty McKeague, Jr. She married L. Boyd Kisler on April 4, 1945 in Aledo. Surviving Dorothy are her husband, Boyd of Galesburg; two sons, Larry (Betsy) of Cameron and Tom (Lou Ann) of Ankeny, IA; two daughters, Joan (Chuck) Semande of Knoxville and Jane (Mike) Mooney of Galesburg. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Dawn Marie Carson of Weston, FL, Scott Sutherland of Minneapolis Minnesota, Eric Kisler of Galesburg, Morgan Kisler of Peoria, Sean Mooney of Ames, IA, Megan Mooney of Galesburg, Brian and Grant Kisler of Ankeny, IA; 2 great grandchildren, Olivia and Garielle Carson of Weston, FL. Dorothy was preceded in death by her son Robert on August 28, 2008 and a brother. Dorothy graduated from Alexis High School and attended business school in Moline. She was a teller at the National Bank of Aledo for a few years. She was a member and past president and secretary of Brentwood West Womens Club. Dorothy was a member and past president of the Henderson Tops Club. Dorothy was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church its Altar and Rosary Society where she was a past president. She enjoyed ballroom dancing with her husband Boyd. Dorothy was a die hard Cubs fan. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Corpus Christi Church. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00-7:30 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home, with the rosary being prayed at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
