Douglas J. Carpenter

Douglas J. Carpenter, 60, of Altona, died Tuesday June 22, 2021 at Marigold Health Care and Rehab, Galesburg. Douglas was born August 19, 1960 in Monmouth, IL, the son of James and Lois (Ramly) Carpenter. He is survived by his mother, Lois of Lee’s Summit, MO; his son, Chris (Amanda) Carpenter of Galesburg; two daughters, Katrina Carpenter (Fiancé, Jonathon Hengl, II) of Galesburg and Jolene (Jacob) Bohn of Burlington, IA. He is also survived by one brother, Kurt (Marcy) Carpenter of Lee’s Summit, MO; 13 grandchildren, Dylan Carpenter, Lexi Boynton, Logan Carpenter, Faye Black, Amirra Thurman, Jonathon Hengl III, Michael Carpenter, Dayton Carpenter, Beatrice Bohn, Abraham Bohn, Jacob Bohn Jr., Katrina Bohn and Isacc Bohn; and one great granddaughter, Elyra Carpenter. He was preceded in death by his father.Douglas really liked motorcycles and was a part of the Outlaws and Grim Reapers. He enjoyed cooking, listening to music, and collecting unique things that caught his eye.  Cremation will be accorded. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.
