Earl Luarther Hagler

Earl Luarther Hagler, 69, of Henderson, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at 6:48 a.m. in OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg. Earl was born September 15, 1948 in Pulaski, the son of Earl Luarther and Beatrice (Macklin) Hagler. He married Margaret Elizabeth Everett on April 8, 1977 in Galesburg. Earl is survived by his wife Margaret of Henderson; four sons, Charles (Helena) Posey, III of Alexis, Daryl (Miranda) Hagler of Galesburg, Logan and Drake Hagler both at home; three daughters, Gaynell (Sam) Wheeler of Macomb, Latrice (Robert Peterson) Davis of Galesburg, and Tanasha Hagler of Davenport, IA;12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Earl is also survived by two sisters, Benita Macklin of TN and Josie Macklin of Peoria. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly Hagler; his parents, two brothers, and one sister. Earl was a hard-working man and worked for the American Red Cross as the MUA (Mobile Unit Assistant) for 34 years, retiring in 2015. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and loved playing video poker on his television. Earl was always willing to lend an ear and gave great advice to all who asked. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Cremation rites will be accorded following visitation. Celebration of life will follow at the Henderson Town Hall, Henderson. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Margaret Hagler.
