Earl W. Williams, 77, of Galesburg, died at 2:25 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2009 at Methodist Medical Center, Peoria. Earl was born on December 22, 1931 in Rural Rock Island County, the son of Charles D. and Ella P. Butterfield Williams. He married Beverly Beasley on December 2, 1983 in Davenport, IA. Surviving Earl are his wife, Beverly of Galesburg; sons, Douglas K. (Vicki) Williams of Galesburg, Dean, I. (Chris) Williams of Burlington, IA, Sam Aloian of Bryant, Andy (Kelly) Aloian and Mike (Laura) Aloian both of Davenport, IA; daughters, Crystal Ewing of Galesburg, Sandra (Dave) Saville, of Kent, WA, and Susan (Ed) Klapp of Galesburg. Also surviving are sisters, Joyce McLoud, of Pekin and Shirley Clauss of Fort Bragg, CA; 19 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Merilee Brooks. Earl served in the US Army in the 101st Airborne during Korea. He worked as a machinist at John Deere for 28 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Machinists Local Union and a union steward. He was a member of the American Motorcycle Association. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Watson Funeral Home, with the Msgr. Rev. Ernest Pizzamiglio officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens, Peoria. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
