Eileen A Lindblom

Eileen A. Lindblom, 93, previously of 261 N. Linwood Road, Galesburg, died at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital. She was born May 11, 1917 in Medford, Minnesota, the daughter of Grace (Hollister) and William F. Eaton.  She married R. Dean Walker of Medford, Minnesota on July 26, 1936.  He is deceased.  She later married Marvin M. Lindblom of Galesburg on April 28, 1947.  He died on March 9, 1984.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 4 sisters. She attended Medford Minnesota High School and was a 1935 graduate.  Eileen worked at Mayo Hospital, Galesburg and was a homemaker.  She was a past member of Central Congregational Church in Galesburg and Pilgrim Congregational Church in Knoxville.  She was a 50 year member of the Galesburg DAR.  She is survived by two daughters, Deanna G. Miller of Gilmanton, New Hampshire and Jayne C. (and Joe) Brock near Wataga; 4 grandchildren, Alicia (and Dave) Provost of Red Lodge, Montana, Kacey (and Tony) Atwell of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Steven (and Sally) Brock of Morton, Illinois, and Holly (and Pat) Padon of Columbus, Montana; 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  Cremation rites have been accorded and a graveside burial and celebration of life service will be held at a later date at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.  Watson Funeral Home, Galesburg is in charge of arrangements.
