Eileen W. Dunning

Eileen W. Dunning, 84, of 121 W. Simmons St., Galesburg, died at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center. Eileen was born on March 18, 1923 in LaGrange Park, the daughter of Merton and Vivian Burmeister Walker. She married Robert E. Dunning on January 26, 1946 in LaGrange Park. He died on October 16, 1994. Surviving Eileen are one son, Dale E. Dunning of McKinney, TX; one daughter, Deborah Trant of Galesburg; two sisters, Maxine Heinen of LaGrange and Barbara Neader of Batavia; three brothers, Robert of Batavia, Donald of Lisle, and Glenn of Palo Alto, California; 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are four brothers and one sister. She graduated from high school and was a homemaker. While living in the suburban Chicago area she was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in LaGrange. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2008 at Clariden Hills Cemetery in Darien, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
