Elsie L. Mccarron

Elsie L. McCarron, 96, of Peoria, formerly of Galesburg died at 10:34 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Elsie was born November 5, 1920 in Quebec, Canada.  She was the daughter of Thomas and Ida Cote McCarron.  She married Charles McCarron on September 10, 1960 in Quebec, Canada.  He preceded her in death on February 28, 1992. While living in Canada, Elsie served in the Canadian Navy.  She was a homemaker.  She was a member of Holy Family Church in Peoria, as well as a past member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Churches in Galesburg. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3720 N Sterling Ave, Peoria, IL 61615 with the Funeral Mass following at 11 a.m. The Franciscan Friars will officiate. Burial will be in Toulon Cemetery, Toulon, IL Memorials may be made to the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.
