Elvin Harold Ulm, 87, of 550 E. Carl Sandburg Dr., Galesburg, formerly of 202 N. Main St., Henderson, died 1:25 p.m. on Thursday March 1, 2007 at home. Elvin was born on March 22, 1919 in London Mills, the son of Rymond and Erma Edmundson Ulm. He married Dorothy Stockwell on January 25, 1941 in Davenport, IA. She died on August 2, 2005. Surviving Elvin are 2 sons: Philip H. (Sylvia) of Galesburg and Jerry R. (Susan) Ulm of Fostoria, OH; a sister Bethene (Norman) Weber of London Mills; 2 grandchildren and 2 grandchildren. Preceding him in death were 1 brother and 2 sisters. Elvin worked for CUSD #205 as a bus driver and custodian for 25 years. He farmed his entire life. He was a member and past president of the Boots and Saddle Club, a Henderson Village Trustee, and past president of the custodial union for CUSD #205. He called square dances and was an auctioneer. He was a member of Henderson United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Watson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ernest Pizzamiglio, officiating. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2007 at Watson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Henderson Cemetery, Henderson, IL. Memorials may be made to Henderson United Methodist Church or to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church
