Emma L. Kovach

Emma Louise Kovach, 95, of 280 E. Losey St. Galesburg, died at 4 p.m. on September 23, 2006 at Heartland Health Care Center, Galesburg.  She was born on May 15, 1911 in Yugoslavia the daughter of Paul and Mary Cencic Kovach.  They preceded her in death.  She was also preceded by her sister Rose Loveland and her brothers Frank and Mike Kovach.  She is survived by her brother-in-law Frank Loveland of Galesburg; a brother Mat Kovach of Georgia and several nieces and a nephew.  Emma lived in Chicago and worked at Passavant Hospital as a nursing assistant for many years prior to retiring.  She loved Chicago and enjoyed the city’s many cultural activities.  Emma was of the Catholic faith.  Private family services will be held on September 26, 2006 at White Chapel Cemetery in Canton, Illinois.  No visitation is planned.  Memorials may be made to Corpus Christi Catholic Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.  The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to all of the staff at Heartland and Community Hospices in Galesburg for the care and support they provided to Emma and the family.
