Eric K. Mckinney

Eric Keith McKinney, 46, of Galesburg, died Friday, July 5, 2024 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center.

He was born November 5, 1977 in Galesburg, the son of Gaylord Keith and Debra Marie (Darst) McKinney. Eric is survived by one son; two half-brothers, Thomas Myers and Richard Lucas, both of Galesburg; a half-sister, Michelle (Danny) Bautista of West Palm Beach, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one niece, Cierra Lucas; and two uncles, Steve and Terry Darst.

Eric worked as a roofer for various companies over the years. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, drinking beer, and living his life to the fullest.

Cremation will be accorded. A memorial visitation will be Tuesday, July 23, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory in Galesburg. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
