Eulonda Maxine Rambo

Eulonda Maxine Rambo, 79, of Galesburg, died May 26, 2016 at 8:15 p.m. at home. She was born August 7, 1936 in Galesburg, to Frank and Leeta Morrison Patterson, the youngest of four children. She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1954 where she was active in plays and cheerleading. While attending Knox College she met Raymond L. Rambo, her future husband. They were married May 12, 1961 in Springfield, IL. Maxine’s employment history included Butler Mfg., Bank of Galesburg, and Bank of Springfield. While they were raising their sons, the family enjoyed taking many different vacations together travelling the United States. Maxine also enjoyed bowling on a bowling league for several years. She is survived by her husband; and two sons, Randy R. Rambo of Princeton and Gregory L. Rambo of Springfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Juanita Burford and Lawanda Rupert; and brother, Veryl Patterson. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Pastor Darrell Grimm will officiate. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
