Eunice N Riley

Eunice N. Riley, 73, of Dahinda, formerly of Galesburg, died at 12:22 p.m. on Monday, August 24, 2009 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.   Eunice was born on April 22, 1936 in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Rodney and Helen Wulf Workman.  She married Thomas Riley on July 10, 1965 in Galesburg.  Surviving Eunice is her husband, Thomas of Dahinda; a son Gene of Dahinda; and a daughter, Susan Riley of Gibson City.  She was preceded in death by a brother.   Eunice graduated from Reynolds High School and Moline Public Hospital School of Nursing.  She was a Registered Nurse at OSF St. Mary’s Medical Center, working in Critical Care and the Emergency Room for 30 years, retiring in 1987.   She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.  She was also involved in the McDonough County Genealogical Society.   Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 27 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Rev. Msgr. Ernest Pizzamiglio officiating.  Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Watson Funeral Home with the rosary at 8 p.m.  Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Rescue Mission or Williamsfield Public Library.
