Evan M. Wade

Evan Matthew Wade, of Macomb, Illinois died at 1:24 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2024 in Schuyler County, Illinois.

Evan was born December 12, 2002 in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, the son of Landon Wade and Melissa Hackwith. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 2021 and was currently working as a CNA at Rushville Nursing Home and Rehab, Rushville, Illinois.

Evan is survived by one brother, Tyce Wade of Macomb; one sister, Breanna Wade of Toulon, Illinois; his father, Landon Wade of Peoria, Illinois; maternal grandmother, Debra Miller of Toulon; paternal grandma, Phyllis Jacobs of Peoria; maternal grandfather, Paul Hackwith of Manitou, Illinois; his girlfriend, Siobhan Brooks of Macomb; and his best friend Tanner Bryan of Galesburg. He was preceded in death by his mother, Melissa Hackwith on November 24, 2019; maternal grandfather, Timothy Miller; and paternal grandfather, John Jacobs.

In his free time, Evan loved to hang out with his family and friends, play video games; and was an avid Magic the Gathering card game player. He also had a soft heart for animals.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. No funeral services will be held. Cremation will be accorded following visitation. Memorial contributions may be made in Evan’s memory to Mental Health America or the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
