Frank Carl Rogers Galesburg, IL died at 3:20 a.m. on Saturday, August 24th, 2024, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s.


He was born February 5th, 1938, in Galesburg, IL. The son of Sam and Signa Rogers. Frank married Judy Bradford and they had four children. He is survived by: His wife of 66 years; Two daughters; Elizabeth (Gary Mark) Crouch; Dianne (Mike) Budde all of Galesburg, IL. Nine Grandchildren; Jacob Crouch (Valerie Franklin), West Burlington, IA; Rachel (Fabricio) Crouch-Almeida Kansas City, KS; Grace Crouch, Galesburg, IL.; Dylan Perry and Zack Perry Springfield, MO; Amelia (Jeff) Kinzer Dallas, TX; J.T. Rogers, Dallas, TX,; Marie Budde and Veronica Budde Galesburg, IL. Five Great Grandchildren; Keira and Nia Aloba; Livia, Natalia, and Carlos Crouch-Almeida. Two step Great Grandchildren: Ayden and Jayce Franklin.


Frank was preceded in death by his parents, brother George Rogers, daughter Mary Jane Rogers Perry, son John Rogers and one great granddaughter Kayla Crouch-Almeida.


Frank graduated from Galesburg high School and attended Western Illinois University. He was involved in the family business, Rogers Bros Produce, at an early age and then R&B Distributors when it opened in 1962, Frank was tasked with running the new business. He was president of R&B for 45 years until his retirement in 2007. Frank and Judy enjoyed attending many Miller Brewing beer conventions across the country and meeting new friends. Frank never met a stranger. His life was filled with love from friends and family.


Frank and Judy lived life to the fullest. They enjoyed playing golf, traveling, playing cards and games, and socializing with family and friends. For over 50 years they have been in a monthly dinner club. They were “snowbirds” in Florida for many winters. Frank was involved with the service club AMBUCS and Jaycees. They lived at Lake Bracken for many years and made many lasting memories on the golf course and in the club house.


Frank was fortunate to stay in his home until moving to Seminary Manor earlier this year. He leaves behind many excellent and caring home care givers; Diana Smith, Carrie Leath, Penny Simpson, Sara Carrasquel, to name a few. The staff at Beacon of Hope Hospice, Heart & Home In-home Care, and Seminary Manor.


No visitation will be held. Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Noon, Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Galesburg. In lieu of flowers please consider donating a memorial to Beacon of Hope Hospice or the Galesburg Firefighters MDA fund. Beacon of Hope has been with Frank for several years providing care and support. The Galesburg firefighters provided Lift assistance to Frank many times over the years.
