Frederick "Skip" Stier

Frederick W. "Skip" Stier, 74, of Galesburg, died at 8:11 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Marigold Health Care and Rehab, Galesburg. Skip was born November 14, 1946 in Boston, MA.  He married Sandra K. Rosenberry on June 8, 1973 in East Galesburg.  She preceded him in deth on December 12, 2020. Skip served in the US Navy.  He worked for many years at United Facilities in Galesburg before retiring. Skip is survived by one son, Guy Stier of Galesburg; one granddaughter, Jessica Stier of Grand Rapids, MI; and one great grandson.  Along with his wife and parents Skip was preceded in death by one son, Ben Stier in 2011. Cremation rites will be accorded and no services are planned.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg.  Memorials may be made to the family.
