G. Corrine Tracy

Gertrude Corrine Tracy, 87, Galesburg, passed away at 12:05 am Monday, June 16, 2008 at Rosewood Care Center of Galesburg.  She was born Nov. 20, 1920 in Galesburg to Alfred A. and Hulda J. (Peterson) Johnson. She married Marion Thomas Tracy in Galesburg on Sept. 11, 1948. He died in 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Eleanor F. Anderson, and two half sisters, Hazel Hoff and Carmen Rice.  She is survived by two sons, Steven D. Tracy of Columbus, Ohio and Bruce T. (Kay) Tracy of Galesburg, four grandchildren, Eric T. (Beth) Tracy of Holly Springs, NC, Allison J. (Daniel) Shepherd of Glasgow, KY, Austin C. Tracy and Collin B. Tracy of Galesburg, and one great-grandson Ryan T. Tracy in Holly Springs, NC.  Corrine spent much of her life growing flower gardens and summer vacationing in South Carolina with her husband. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Galesburg.  Service will be held at 11 am Thursday, June 19 at Watson Funeral Home in Galesburg. Visitation will be 10 to 11 am on Thursday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.   Memorials may be made to the First Lutheran Church of Galesburg.
