Genevieve L. Croffoot

Genevieve L. Croffoot, 92, of 3507 N. Molleck Dr., Peoria, formerly of Galesburg, died at 9:12 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2008 at home.   Genevieve was born on January 1, 1916 in Jo Davies County, the daughter of Vernon D. and Dora Hunt Croffoot.  Surviving Helen are her sister Helen Cota of Peoria and several nieces and nephews.  Preceding her in death by a brother and 3 sisters.   Genevieve graduated from Glenbard High School.  She was an accountant at American Rug and Carpet in Chicago.  She resided in Galesburg the last 28 years.  She was a member at Corpus Christi Church and was a volunteer at OSF St. Mary Medical Center for several years.  Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 27 at Corpus Christi with the Rev. Joseph Presley officiating.  Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Watson Funeral Home, with the rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.  Burial will be in Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville.  Memorials may be made to OSF St. Mary’s Auxiliary.
