Gerald "Jerry" L. Beaty

Gerald Lee Beaty, 61, of Galesburg, Illinois, died peacefully at home, Tuesday, August 13, 2024.

Jerry was born July 5, 1963 in Beardstown, Illinois, the son of Patricia Ann (Heller) and Harold Beaty. He is survived by one daughter, Nicole Stinson of Galesburg; two brothers, James Beaty and Doug (Betty) Beaty both of Galesburg; four sisters, Marjorie Beaty of Galesburg, Leona (Rick) Grappe of Victoria, Illinois, Carol Beaty of Niagara Falls, New York, and Sandy (Mike) Nelson of Galesburg; two granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. Including his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Denny Heller, Paul, Charles, Bill, and Hank Beaty; and one sister, Patti Beaty.

Jerry worked as a handyman including working many years for Dick Miller Painting. He enjoyed fishing and working in the yard and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys fan.

Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of life will be 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2024 at the Thomas Legacy Center, 1849 N. Seminary St., Galesburg. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
