Glona E. Weeks

Glona Emma Weeks, 78, of 752 E. Third St., Galesburg, formerly of Elm Grove, LA, died at 12 p.m. on Wednesday February 28, 2007 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg. Glona was born on September 5, 1928 in Galva, Illinois the daughter of John A> and Ruth L. Yocum Zetterberg. She married Wilbur J. Weeks on December 7, 1948. He died on October 23, 1997. She is survived by one brother Max W. (Dorothy) Zetterberg of Kewanee; 1 sister Dolores M. “Dollie” (Richard) Barton of Galesburg; a sister-in-law Joan Weeks of Galva; several nieces and nephews including a special niece Peggy who assisted in caring for Glona. She was preceded in death by her father John Zetterberg and her mother Ruth Quinney. One brother also preceded her in death. Glona was a homemaker and belonged to the homemakers club in Elm Grove, LA. She also was past president of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Elm Grove, LA and was a member of the Elizabeth Circle at Faith United Methodist Church in Galesburg. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday March 5, 2007 at Hill Crest Memorial Park Cemetery in Haughton, LA. No visitation is planned. Hill Crest Memorial Park Funeral Home in Haughton, LA is in charge of arrangements. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Galesburg, IL. Watson Funeral Home, Galesburg is in charge of local arrangements.
