Gregory L. "Greg" Howell

Gregory L. “Greg” Howell, 58, of Galesburg, died on Saturday, March 16, 2019, 12:30 PM, at OSF St. Mary’s Medical Center, Galesburg.  Greg was born on September 24, 1960, in Canton. He was the son of Robert Howell and Ruth Joles. He married Priscilla Lockwood in 1998, in Canton. Greg is survived by his wife, Priscilla; his step-mother, Delores (Jim) Miles of Ipava; son, Gregory Howell, Jr.; two step-sons, Wes (Melissa) Mendenhall and Michael Mendenhall, both of Galesburg; two brothers, Kenny (Cheryl) Howell of Browning and David Howell of Ipava; a sister Jaime (Kevin) Duane of Davenport; two grandsons, Jacob Ormond and Preston Robb, both of Galesburg; and several nieces.  He was preceded in death by his father.  Greg graduated from V.I.T. schools. He worked as a laborer for Wayland Manufacturing and then later for Farm Land Foods. He loved to fish, read, watch murder-mysteries and spending time with his family.  Cremation rites have been accorded and no services are planned at this time. Memorials may be made to the family.
