Harry F. Beals

Harry F. Beals, 73, of Maquon, died November 27, 2018 at home.  Harry was born August 12, 1945 in Wichita, KS the son of Harry Newton Beals and Florence Loretta Baugh. He grew up on the family farm in Trilla, IL and left for the Army in September of 1965 and returned in 1968 as a tank mechanic.  Once home, he helped on his sister's farm as a farm hand for many years and drove a garbage truck in Greenup, IL for 10 years.  Harry is survived by his Son Ryan, daughter-in-law Robin, granddaughter Josie, sister Sue Nichols, twin brother, Frank, both of Trilla, step-brother Don Barnes of Greenup, and many nieces and nephews.  Also survived by his ex-wife Brenda Bland, whom he remained close with the rest of his life.   He was preceded in death by both parents, brothers Richard Beals, Jerry Baugh, and Terry Barnes, sister Marlene Vincent, and step-mother Lela Mae Beals (Barnes).  He has requested no services be held.  His remains will be cremated and spread at the Beals family farm in Trilla, IL. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choosing.
