Heath Devon Williams, 47, of Galesburg, IL, passed away unexpectedly on August 17, 2024 at OSF St. Mary's Medical Center.

Heath was born on October 3, 1976 in Galesburg to Melissa and Charles R. Williams Jr.

Heath had a longtime best friend, who also happened to be his sister Tia.

In 1995, Heath met Krista Villarreal in Galesburg, IL. Heath and Krista married in 1996 and went on to have four children: Justice, Charles, Reana, and Josiah. Heath was also a part of the lives of three stepchildren of that marriage: Anthony, Bianca, and Michael.

In Junior High, Heath met and became friends with Kandise Mink. In 2015, Heath and Kandise rekindled their friendship and it grew to something more. They were married on April 19, 2018. While Kandise and Heath had no children, Heath was like a father to Kandise' three children: Noah, Stormy, and Rainee Peterson.

Heath was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert A. Thompson; and his two brothers: Todd and Charles R. Thompson.

Heath is survived his wife, Kandise Williams; his grandparents: Antoinette Wilder Hollowell, Charles R. Williams Sr., and Kay Thompson; his mother, Melissa (Jeffrey) Enloe and his father, Charles R. Williams Jr. (Sandy Townsend); and one sister Tia. He is also survived by three sons: Heath Jr. “Justice”, Charles, Knowledge “Josiah”; and daughter Reana; as well his stepchildren: Anthony, Bianca, Michael, Noah, Stormy, and Rainee. Heath was also blessed with eleven grandchildren: Amelia, Alaya, Elena, Selena, Heath III, August, Braxton, Julian, Izzy, Camilla, and Tony; and many nieces and nephews. All of the children in his life were greatly loved.

Heaths two most favorite things were spending time with his grandchildren when he could and spending time with his many nieces and nephews- whom he was like a father to after his brother passed away.
